the call for prayer
wakes up the soul
washes the heart
Allahu Akbar that
ignites the day
and soften the burden
of the night
Salah the secret
that make us flourish
everyday
it guides us to the
righteous way
and stitches
piety onto our lives
i wonder how it
always revive
the ragged edges
of my spirit
illuminating
the dark corners
i was once afraid
to touch
Salah
is a world
within a world
is a life
within a life
where everything
is perfect
and all the senses
are rested
Allahu Akbar
and you start
the journey
reading verses
from the Quran
that sprinkle peace
on your soul
like dew
on the roses
the trail of tears
loaded with remorse
asking Allah
to forgive
and His Mercy
to wipe all the sins
but as every precious
moment it packs
and leaves us
craving for the
next meeting
and we return
to this Dunia
and it is hardships
knowing the rest
will be only in Jannah
and we are here
just passing through!!
