"I sit on a mattress with a book and pen in my hands.
I clutch them so closely to my heart, they have become my dearest friends.
On a beautiful sheet I pour my sorrow and pain.
The emotions my paint and the pen my brush with which I stain.
No complaints do I get from this beautiful gift that I have flood,
It simply accepts my pain that drips like blood.
Sometimes the world slaps us so hard, we don't know what to say.
But I am told, "When the world pushes you to your knees, your in the perfect position to pray."
Devastating is what this "cell" can be,
But are we ready to open our eyes and see?
In life we have decisions to make,
Trust me, life is not an easy piece of cake.
It will either break you down or make you stronger,
But don't expect everything to be a-ok, you just might have to strive a bit longer."
"cell" - this world.
