I swear,
the barbwire fence speaks to me in my dreams,
it promises me a day when I will be free,
and tells me things will be peaceful and the whole world will watch and see,
No killings, no rape, no hate, just tranquility,
It guarantees the day when I will rise to be King,
at this I'm always quick to smile and when I am fully engulfed in my dream,
And at the same time I can feel my,
restless body turn in the summers heat,
and I always awake,
to a woman’s voice, almost singing to me,
this is when I realize it was no barbwire fence,
but just my Mother singing me to sleep.
