Where have you been.
I wonder. Can’t move, traffic light is at green
Say, it was all a dream
Where have you been.
Let me put it this way
Life was chasing another day
Restless, taking another step
Never been the kind to take it back
Life is hard
Take me back to the start
Take me by the hand
Confused like a child – that doesn’t understand
So much pressure in this world
So much beauty in a single word
‘Peace’
Tasted at the very least
Where have you been.
I wonder. Can’t move, traffic light is at green
Say, it was all a dream
Where have you been.
Picture this
I might not be the kind to miss
Whether it’s right
It’s up to you to decide
Storyteller with the overcast past
Heavily burdened, life spins fast
Appreciate that you try to lift the weight
Storyteller tell me your story before it’s too late
Raised to believe in success
Count the banknote before you bless
Empty hands shaped me, didn’t hear me confess
Nevertheless
I tried to put a smile on your face
Even though, loneliness came back at a steady pace
Never played poker, but inherited the face expression
Smile for me, like the twenties before the Great Depression
I needed time
Time to free my mind
I tried you know
It’s not easy to let it go
Where have you been.
I wonder. Can’t move, traffic light is at green
Say, it was all a dream
Where have you been.
Let me put it this way
Can’t believe what I see, the reason I pray?
Restless, people wanting more
Never been guided to the right door
Life is hard
Take me back before I fall apart
Take me back in time
Confused like a child – afraid of the night
So much hate in this world
So much love in a single word
‘Peace’
Tasted at very least
Where have you been.
I wonder. Can’t move, traffic light is at green
Say, it was all a dream
Where have you been?
